I'm 14 years old, and i speak fluent Danish, English and moderate German. Currently i have some time on my hands, so i decided; Why not pick up another language, because i think it will help me in the future.
A: I would say Mandarin. If you have the foundation of Chinese down, later if you ever want to learn Japanese, Korean, or even Vietnamese and some other Asian languages, your knowledge of Chinese would be very useful in aiding your learning.
Plus you're young now so it would be easier to pick up a harder language.
Depends in where you wanna go. Mandarin is spoken in China and the other is in south africa.
Personally, I would go for Mandarin. Not only does it have more speakers, but I think it would just be cooler to know how to speak Mandarin.
I'm trying to learn it myself, actually. It's a beautiful language.
