Q: I want your honest opinion, please. I know the Questbridge process is long, and I want to know if I stand a good chance of being a finalist. If not, then I probably won't concentrate on Questbridge and apply to individual colleges instead.

Q: Ok so i am now a freshman but im in IB (international baccalaureate) which is where you take harder classes like honors. But i am going to another program called running start where you go to college in your junior year. I am wanting to take the tests in my freshman or sophmore

PrepMe sells core technology to vocational ed company

(Crain’s) — PrepMe Inc., an online test-preparation company, sold its software technology to an education company backed by private-equity fund Providence Equity Partners.

The Chicago-based startup will continue to offer its products that help students prepare for SAT, ACT or PSAT tests. Headed by 27-year-old entrepreneur Karan Goel, PrepMe says it has helped 70,000 students, making it the biggest online test-prep outfit.

The company also had developed its own software platform that enables customized online-learning courses, which is what attracted New York-based Ascend Learning LLC. Ascend is backed by Providence.

What Sat scores factor in college admissions?

I am a senior this year apply to all UC campuses. My freshman and sophomore year GPA was 3.0 (2.6 to 3.9 seconds a year). I Minor GPA was 4.3. My SAT was 2080. I have 200 hours of service and member + in the choir and baseball for two years.

You are probably good for all UC – Berkeley and UCLA runs, but worth a try. And you are definitely good for all CSU –
